Seasonal Family Celebrations

Come with your family, your friends or just yourself—and meet new kindred spirits.

As we gather with the turning of the year,  these family-friendly days are a celebration of story, craft, nature, and community, marking the seasons not with rush, but with rhythm.

What Happens at a Gathering?

We begin at the Broompark Picnic Area, and after a gentle welcome and chance to brush off the "road dust," we walk together, past hedgerows and along the lane—toward a magical hidden space where the hearth fire awaits.

Each gathering follows a gentle and welcoming rhythm and can include:

🌿 Mindful arrival & nature connection

🧙 Seasonal plant lore & storytelling

🎨 Creative, therapeutic activities for all ages

🔥 Circle time by the fire—sharing, singing, reflecting

🪕 Live music and community song

🌳 Space to rest, journal, picnic, or just be beneath the sky

👩‍🌾 Opportunities to learn about the land project at Abundant Earth, explore food growing and wild foraging.

Some find a quiet spot beneath a tree. Others share songs or stories passed down through generations or newly made.

Children craft, play, explore. Adults learn skills and share wisdom. Everyone is welcome to join in—or to sit back, listen, and soak it all in.We honour nature, diversity, and the unseen threads that bind us all.

Date: 20th December

Time: 1pm - 6pm

This time of year brings people together from many cultures and backgrounds.
Here at midwinter we  gather to celebrate renewal and hope.

With festive crafts and gifts of the season, we will gather around the warmth of the fire to welcome the returning light of the sun and explore what that is igniting for us in the coming year.
Acknowledging this gentle time of year before the earth once again prepares to  gently rise from her slumber with heart warming food, drumming and a dancing fire display.

🍏 Autumn Equinox
Season of Balance and Change

Date: Sunday 21st September
Time: 1pm – 6pm

At this transitional point of the year, the light of the suns rays greet the central band of the earth. A time to recognise and honour the essential balance of light and dark across the globe and celebrate the rich, colourful bounty of the season.
Under the sky of  the new moon we will balance science with mystery, setting intentions to carry us forward through the restorative and nurturing months, when life slows down and our roots are nourished.
